mike klubeck

Born and raised in Old Bridge, NJ, Mike Klubeck is a New York City–based film director drawn to stories of self-discovery, identity, and the friction between expectation and reality. He earned his BFA in Film & TV from NYU Tisch in 2020, where he wrote and directed I-O and All Night Long, both receiving festival recognition.
His experimental short These Games We Play was nominated for Best Experimental Short at NFFTY (2022) and premiered in New York at NewFest (2023), where he was also a New Voices Filmmaker Grant finalist. His latest short, Photocopy, had its World Premiere at NFFTY (2023); the feature adaptation is in late development and was pitched live at the 2024 Proof Film Festival. In 2025, Mike was a Nostos Writing Retreat fellow in Tuscany.
Beyond narrative, he directs music videos and commercials for Apple, Ray-Ban, Calvin Klein, Dior, and various other clients across the music, fashion, and broadway industries.. Whether collaborating with brands, musicians, or actors, his projects share a through-line: intimate, character-led filmmaking with a documentary curiosity and a clean, photographic visual language, always chasing the question of how we construct who we are.
